On behalf of the Udny Community Council, it has come to our attention that a knife had been planted facing upwards on the path that runs along side the Bronie burn. The knife has been removed, but we are horrified by this extremely dangerous act and the huge risk it presents to the many walkers, children, cyclists and dogs who use this regular route. We are aware of the tension that has been growing between riders and the public and measures such as this are completely unacceptable. The council will raise this with the police at their next monthly meeting with them. If any other incidents like this occur please don’t hesitate to report it, keep an eye out and be careful.
