Weather Alert - 10.02.2022

Good Evening
Our gritting crews will be heading out this afternoon and again from 5.40am tomorrow morning to treat our priority routes as wintry showers move in from the west.
Further snow showers are forecast to drift into the west overnight – we might see a couple of centimetres on the ski roads - but it should remain largely dry and clear further east.
As we’ve seen in recent days, road surface temperatures will fall below zero widely, bringing the risk of ice where showers have fallen.
Combined with the high winds forecast by the Met Office, this wintry spell will have an impact on driving conditions, so please be safe out there.
